Five questions to ask before hiring a software studio

A short list that tells you more than a portfolio does.

Portfolios show what a studio has done. These questions show how it will work with you.

1. Who will actually build my project?

Ask to meet the people doing the work, not only the people selling it. A small team with direct access often beats a large one with hand-offs.

2. How will I see progress?

Look for regular demos of working software, not only status reports. You should see something real every week or two.

3. What happens after launch?

Software needs updates, fixes and monitoring. Ask what support is included, what it costs, and how fast problems get answered.

4. Who owns the code and the data?

You should own both, with full access to the source and the hosting accounts. Get this in writing before work starts.

5. How do you handle a change of plans?

Plans change. A good studio has a clear, fair way to price and schedule changes, and tells you the effect before doing the work.

We are happy to answer all five about Prianj Innovation. Ask the assistant, or send a message from the Contact page.
